Managing Quotes
The Quotes screen is your home base. It lists every quote you’ve made, newest prices and all, so you can open one, start a new one, or copy a past job in a couple of clicks.
The Quotes list
When you open the app you land on the Quotes screen. Under the heading you’ll see the line “Recent quotes for your shop. Click a row to open it.” and a table with one row per quote.
Each row shows five things:
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| # | The quote number (like #1001). |
| Customer | The customer’s name, with their company underneath if you entered one. |
| Sign | The sign text in quotes, plus a short plain-English summary of the job — letter count, size, type, and how it mounts. |
| Total | The customer’s price, rounded to the dollar. |
| Date | The day the quote was created. |
The Sign summary is built for you from the job’s settings. For quote #1001 it reads something like 4 × 18” front-lit channel letters and for #1002 8 × 12” cast aluminum letters — so you can tell jobs apart at a glance without opening them.
Open, create, copy, or delete
Open a quote
Click anywhere on its row. The quote opens so you can review it, change it, or download the PDF.
Start a new quote
Click New quote in the top-right corner. See Make your first quote
for a walkthrough.
Duplicate a quote
On any row, click Duplicate. You get a fresh copy as a brand-new quote, ready to tweak — a fast
way to start from a similar past job.
Delete a quote
On any row, click Delete. The app asks you to confirm first (it tells you the quote number and
warns that it can’t be undone). Click OK to remove it, or Cancel to keep it.
Tip — copy a repeat-style job. Do a lot of jobs that look alike? Find the closest past quote,
click Duplicate, then change the customer name and a field or two. Much faster than starting from
scratch.
Prices stay current
Every time you open a quote, its price is refreshed against your shop’s current prices. So if the owner has updated a rate since the quote was first made, reopening it shows today’s number — a quote always reflects your current prices. (See Understanding the price.)
The list is never empty
The Quotes list always starts with two ready-made example quotes so you have something to look at:
- #1001 “CAFE” — a channel-letter job.
- #1002 “LAW OFFICE” — a dimensional-letter job.
Open them to see how a finished quote looks, or duplicate one to get going quickly.
Where your quotes are saved
Your quotes are stored right here, in this web browser on this computer. No account, no sign-in — just open the app and they’re waiting.
Because quotes live in this browser, clearing your browser’s data will erase them, and they won’t appear in a different browser or on another computer. For anything you need to keep, download the PDF quote.
Need a clean slate? The owner can bring back the two examples and reset all default prices with the Reset demo data button on the Settings screen — see Owner: tuning your prices. It also removes any quotes you created, so use it only when you want a fresh start.
